On Aaron Rome and the Most Disgusting Fan Ever

I was in the middle of writing a post about Tyler Seguin, when the horrific hit by Aaron Rome on Nathan Horton occurred. If you want to see an example of how one play can suck up all the enthusiasm of fans, the Rome hit would be Exhibit A.

It’s the kind of play that gives a team a bad name, and the people who support the team often unfairly get lumped in. Not all Canucks fans are horrible people who are arrogant and belligerent.

But then there are people who are horrible and bigoted and deserve to be chastised, reprimanded, and do little more than leave a black mark on the reputation of a team and a city. This is one of those people.

I present to you the horrifying example of humanity, Twitter’s @SportsCounter:

I have no words.
